- There has been several changes since the introduction of GST 2017.
- The aim of introduction of GST is to make things simpler and to identify leakage.
- But a regular taxpayer faces many issues while implementing GST in his system and as this is new , there are very few expert to resolve their queries.
- Divergent rulings by different revenue officers in various states has already created ambiguity, environment of uncertainty and chaos among taxpayers.
- It is being suggested to the government to constitute an independent high-level central body similar to ‘Authority of Advance Ruling’ under the GST regime.
- There is a need to rationalize rates , ease in registration and return filing system and Input tax credit availability across all the sectors.
- Year 2020 is all set with new changes such as e-invoicing and new set of return filing. Year 2020 is supposed to be very significant for the tax payers
- There are going to be lots of queries , lots of issues to discuss for the taxpayer.
- In order to ensure that taxpayers are aware of the modifications ,ETRISE Dialogue is holding a panel discussion on GST 2.0 with respect to the changes and challenges for taxpayers.
- This discussion includes members who are indirect tax experts and members from SME community .
- This move is to underlying objective of GST framework of creating a simplified indirect taxation system.
