Job Description/Skills Required
Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesis, purification, and characterization of chemical intermediates.
- Deliver small to large quantities of novel chemical entities for drug discovery.
- Work collaboratively in a team to drive chemistry projects forward.
Technical and Functional Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of basic organic chemistry.
- Good knowledge of naming reactions & functional group conversions.
- Good knowledge of molarity, normality, equivalency.
- Practical experience in thin-layer chromatography, column purification and extraction.
- Good understanding of NMR, IR and mass spectrometry.
Behavioural Skills
- Interest to adopt, and appreciation for, laboratory safety procedures.
- Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic research environment.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS-word/Excel/Power point)
- Good communication skill.
