Job Description/Skills Required
- Design & develop purification techniques such as chromatography (especially reverse phase, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, gel filtration) for manufacturing synthetic, recombinant peptides & complex molecules.
- Develop & optimize the down stream operations such as membrane separation, lyophilization for the process development of peptides through structured , integrated approach in coordination with the requirements of drug product.
- Support Cross functional teams in process optimization & scale up using QbD approaches , risk assessment and evaluate the process at scale.
- Evaluate new technnologies in the area of separation and downstream processing & apply inline techniques such as PAT to understand, model the process as part of developing robust process.
- Develop PFD, P&ID, facility recommendation & risk analysis for manufacturing synthetic peptides & complex molecules in coordination with cross functional team & guide them in process mapping at plant scale.
- Align with product management teams in developing robust process meeting the innovation as well as commercial requirements.
- Define process controls & perform FMEA, QRA in coordination with cross functional teams in transferring the technology to manufacturing site.
- Assist & guide teams in the execution of scale up batches of peptide manufacturing at plant and support the scale up team in trouble shooting the scale up issues during batch execution.
