Job description For Medicinal Chemistry :
– Synthesize and characterize novel NCEs as per client specifications, in an efficient and independent manner.
– Broad knowledge of modern organic chemistry and synthetic methods
– Heterocyclic chemistry, metal catalyzed reactions, handling air/moisture sensitive reagents, hydrogenations, carrying out multi-step synthesis etc.
– Work with a wide range of techniques in synthesis and purification (Chromatographic methods including smooth knowledge of MPLCs), and spectroscopic characterization of novel compounds (NMR, LCMS, HPLC, IR etc.).
– Up to date maintenance of Lab Note Books, as per client specifications and guidelines.
– Generation of final reports and other scientific documents, as needed.
– Understanding of systems and process pertaining to safety, health and environment.
– Follow the EHS guidelines, as per zero tolerance policy.
Job description For Peptide Chemistry :
Areas Of Responsibility
1) Synthesis and Characterization of peptides
- Plan and execute the synthesis of peptide molecules with adequate purity and quantity as per project requirements.
- Develop good trouble shooting skills and comply with IPM and Safety norms.
- Developing appropriate methods for special functionalized peptides.
- Preparing key intermediates by solution phase synthesis which would be used as building blocks for synthesis of final target molecules.
IN ORDER TO: successfully synthesize and deliver target compounds as per project specifications - Data Interpretation:
- To interpret the analytical data in identifying the synthesized targets and key intermediates.
IN ORDER TO: successfully characterize the synthesized targets.
- Safety Compliance
- To follow the lab safety and industrial hygiene practices.
Required Candidate profile
– M.Sc. Organic Chemistry/Chemistry
– Experience:- 2 to 5 years in Synthetic Chemistry(Small Scale).
– Candidates with peptide Manufacturing background can also attend the drive.
