Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd – R&D, Gandhinagar is hiring Executives (Scientist II ) for Packaging Development Dept.
Job Profile (Development and Commercial):
- Perform Packaging material analysis of Innovator / Reference in-house products
- Perform lab scale packaging activities, Cross functional communication with F&D/MCD (API/KSM) & perform batch stability.
- Ensure packaging material availability for respective projects.
- To carry out technology transfer activities & execute batches at plant and trouble shooting.
- Preparation of review slides (Literature, Strategy, Review-3 and Knowledge sharing with plant).
- Preparation of shadow costing slides (PWG).
- Initiation of change control form.
- Ensure timely launch of new product as per schedules.
- Identify and execute cost saving projects while ensuring the pack integrity, market acceptability as well as plant feasibility
- Understand criteria of pack optimization, automation, primary and secondary pack change, strip to blister conversion, tertiary pack standardization and alternate vendor development.
Qualification : B.Pharm or B. Sci with Graduation / Post Graduation Diploma in Packaging Development Technology.
Experience: 1 – 7 Years.

Job Profile :
- To conduct literature, search and prepare of the literature review presentation.
- To participate in the patent evaluation, non-infringing formulation report and get it clear from IPR & Quality depts. with Group leader & Resource Leader .
- To prepare prototype formulations based on the pre-formulation study.
- To conduct the API characterization, compatibility study and recording the same in the lab book.
- To procure the raw materials for experiments viz. Excipients, API, molecule and setting up the equipment in the lab
- To conduct development trials, achieving desired dissolution profiling and manufacturing the stability batches & bio equivalent batches.
- To execute the trials and initiate stability data scientifically using DOE analysis.
- To make the product review presentation of the formulation development.
Qualification : M.Pharm with 1- 7 years.
Skills set – Oral Solid, NDDS, NCE , Dermaceuticals, Cosmoceuticals & Oncology.
Exposure of all markets (US, EU, ROW, India).
