Job Description/Skills Required.
- To know and implement the Quality Management system of the organization.
- To work in different shifts and on public holidays and Sundays as per duty roster.
- To know all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
- To follow the process flow in Microbiology & S
- To maintain all relevant logs (eg: Patient information, work book, temp. charts, Quality Control, equipment maintenance etc).
- To ensure proper collection, storage and transport of samples. To Co-ordinate with other departments for shared samples.
- To process all clinical specimens (Microbiology and Serology as per standard operating procedure).
- To ensure that all completed sample reports are given for Data Entry.
- To report critical values in absence of Department HOD.
- To know operation and maintenance of all equipment’s in the section.
- To prepare in-house media.
- To do internal Quality control as per departmental protocol.
- To maintain Quality and Technical records.
- To check for expired reagents/kits.
- To receive Lab supplies.
- To send samples and receive results from referral labs.
- To decontaminate and dispose Bio-waste as per regulations.
