Job Description/Skills Required: 

• To lead team for the development of Novel and cost-effective API projects. To provide technical guidance and support for Scientist/ Sr. Scientist for the development of API, Intermediates and Impurities by following safety and GMP practices.
• Should be updated with the latest development in the area of synthetic chemistry and analytical instrumentation.
• Candidate should have experience of developing projects in lab and their scale-up to pilot plant scale. Should be able to coordinate with peers in analytical, Intellectual property management (IPM), regulatory and technology transfer departments. Should support DMF Filling.
• Develop cost effective and non- infringing novel route of synthesis for the API.
• Review and Interpretation of analytical data.
• Work planning and overall technical supervision of projects.
• Ensure timely documentation for daily work reports to the team.
• Assist in costing of APIs to the business development.
• Lead cross functional teams for resolving issues.
• Ensuring the laboratory is maintained as per HSE policies.
• Observing GMP and safety rules and ensuring the team complies.
• Continuous improvement by the way of yield optimization, solvent recovery & backward integration.
• Design space & CPP identification through QbD & DOE techniques
