Reports to: Â Â Â Â Â Â Senior Team LeaderÂ
Job Purpose: Â Â Â To conduct and assist in pre-formulation and phase-appropriate formulation development activities to support pre-clinical and clinical studies.
Key Responsibilities:
•   Physicochemical properties assessment through pre-formulation studies for new chemical entities (NCEs).
•   Handling and good knowledge on various analytical tools/ instruments, used in drug discovery and formulation development work in order to understand physicochemical properties of NCEs.
•   Good knowledge/ understanding on solid state characterization of drug substances.
•   Formulation development and feasibility studies to support pre-clinical pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacology (PD) and toxicology (safety) studies.
•   Assist in oral drug product development to support clinical studies, including but not limited to oral solution, suspension, tablet and capsule dosage forms.
•   Record, summarize and present experimental data/ results appropriately and assist in drafting relevant scientific/technical reports.
•   Good working knowledge on MS office and basic scientific software/ tools, used in drug discovery and formulation development work space.
•   Work collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams while exhibiting the core values of the department and company.Â
Educational Qualifications & Experience:Â
M. Pharm or M.S. in Pharmaceutics/ Pharmaceutical chemistry with 1 – 4 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in analytical chemistry
Technical Skills: Â Â Â Â
Understanding on physicochemical properties, Pre-formulation, Analytical Chemistry, Formulation Development, Formulation Stability Studies, Solid State Characterization, Data Interpretation.
Functional/Behavioral Skills:
Team Player, Ready to Learn, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Good Writing, Communication and Presentation skills
Interfaces & Dependencies:
Internal   Candidate will be interacting with PK/ PD/ toxicology, medicinal chemistry and analytical R&D groups
External   Candidate will have occasional interactions with Syngene’ clients working in discovery and development pharmaceutics.
