Job Description/Skills Required
- Strong competency in the synthetic organic / Medicinal chemistry
- Experience in a variety of synthetic methods, especially in heterocyclic chemistry would be an added advantage
- Experience of performing multi-step synthesis in Med. Chem. lead optimization, full understanding of mechanistic details, scale-up and/ or process chemistry
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, highly team-oriented environment that includes medicinal and process chemists and biologists
- Candidate must have expertise in the purification and characterization of organic compounds using chromatography and spectroscopic techniques including NMR, MS and IR spectroscopy.
- Experience in working with a drug discovery environment with an appreciation of Medicinal Chemistry is desirable.
