Job Description/Skills Required
- Develop and Implement EHS SOPs, Train the concerned persons and bring EHS performance improvements within the facility
- Implementation and monitoring of EHS management system as per ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Understanding on the Laboratory safety requirements.
- Responsible for preparation of monthly EHS MIS data
- Active participation in creating awareness on EHS topics, evaluation and performance monitoring of contractors as part of contractor safety management system.
- To monitor critical activities like Height work, Hot work, Electrical work, confined space entry work, and wherever PTW (Permit to work) process is involved.
- On-time incident reporting and investigation of all EHS incidents as per escalation matrix.
- Conducting EHS committee Meeting and follow up on closure of actions.
- Help in conducting EHS training on various topics.
- Preparation of training modules for the EHS topics.
- Coordinate in conducting various safety programs and promotional activities.
- Conduct periodical safety assessments (JSA and HIRA), audits/Inspections to identify the hazards and ensure the effective controls
- Coordinate with HODs to implement the CAPA decided against observations.
- Good knowledge on usage of emergency equipment’s like Fire Hydrant, SCBA etc.
- Ensure all fire-fighting, first aid boxes, and emergency equipment are maintained for ready usage.
- Implementation of Occupational Health Management procedure for smooth Operations of Occupational Health centre.
- PPE selection, Preparation of PPE matrix, Procurement and ensure availability of appropriate PPEs.
- Follow up on closure of recommendations with stakeholders that arrived from Qualitative or Quantitative Exposure Risk Assessment.
