Job Purpose

To provide comprehensive biotransformation support to drug discovery programs. A lab-based position, working within the biotransformation team.

Educational Qualification requirements: Masters in Pharmacy / Sciences

Experience: 0-2 Years

Key Responsibilities:         

Conduct of metabolite identification experiments and structural elucidation of metabolites

Handling mass spectrometers

Good understanding of biotransformation fundamentals and enzymology.

Understanding of advanced biotransformation studies such as bile duct cannulated studies and reaction phenotyping.

Interact with the metabolism group and be familiar with their assays and provide bench level, technical and conceptual support as needed.

Basic understanding of inhibition and metabolic stability assays.

Perform activities within defined timelines and meeting defined quality expectations.

Other Responsibilities:  

• Work with other sub-disciplines within PCO to support projects. Assist in sharing and inculcating best practices across the group.
• Capability Development Responsibilities: Work on exploratory and capability development projects as relevant to the organization.
• Any other duties given from time to time in operations by the line manager
