Job Description/Skills Required

• Review the medical records, identify diagnoses and convert to ICD-10-CM codes by following CMS, HHS & client specific guidelines.
• Flag reports/send queries to the provider for documentation deficiency

Certifications (Mandatory)

Any one of the following coding certifications
CPC, COC, CRC, CPC-P from AAPC
CCS, CCS-P, CCA from AHIMA

Additional requirements

Strong knowledge in Medical terminology, Anatomy, ICD-10-CM coding guidelines
