- Abstraction of clinical data for Cancer patients from EHR (Electronic Health Records)
- Data elements for abstraction differ with cancer type
- Data elements that we are looking at for abstraction includes (Genetic test results, LOT (Line of therapy) response for chemo drugs, clinical status for disease, LAB values, etc.)
- Abstracted data helps in Standardization of treatment & quality of life for the cancer patient
- Medical Coding is the process of converting Verbal Descriptions into numeric or alpha numeric.
